• Join a professional social network.

Social networks targeting businesspeople are a great source of good resumes. Lots of professionals upload their CVs every day in hopes to get noticed by employers.

In most networks, you have to join in order to view the profiles of other users. Complete your registration, then browse the profiles of your peers by current or desired positions (“freelance writer”). The mistakes of other people are easier to see than those of your own, and if you see the mistakes of other freelance writers, you would not repeat them.

Odd as it may sound, it is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get decent writers’ CV examples online. You do not even need to address those on your friend list personally. Write a humorous or otherwise interesting post about writers’ resumes, inviting your readers to share good examples of such resumes they have encountered online. Make it clear that you are not an employer, but a writer looking for a job. You might be surprised at how many people would share well-written examples just for the fun of it.

Review your personal network in real life. Is there anyone who works in HR? If so, ask them to let you take a look at the writers’ resumes they consider to be good. This way, you will definitely discover great and job-winning examples.
