Hi Shirley. I just wanted to let you know that I got so much out of this book. I have read so much, both practice and theory that, while conceptually helpful, isn't as clear. This was also the only counsel I have ever gotten that also addressed what to leave out! Seems simple but it opened a whole new world (or closed a bankrupt one). The emphasis on sequencing was a revelation. I knew I was too dependent on dialogue--trying to shift to visuals was fake. Didn't understand until I read the book that I was putting the cart before the horse. Have read many times the advice: "get in late and get out early," but never "got it" until now. Many thanks to you and Robert Jordan. I enjoy story theory, which provides a good basis -- but doesn't stand up to the practical advice I got from this book. Thanks so much to both of you.
